Built in 1923, Chelsea Place was rumored to have been a former shoemaker’s home that later was divided into separate apartments. Because the division was done so long ago, there is no apparent evidence of this. What we do know is what a cute complex it is! From the street it resembles an endearing bed and breakfast and once you have entered its private hallway you can already feel its allure. It is comprised of two 1/1 units and two 2/1 units one on each level of this two story structure. All have high ceilings, hardwood floors and retro kitchens and baths. Most have ball and claw tubs. There are also large back porches on each level. Giant, mature trees shade the property providing an added feeling of warmth.
